Kapoloa Falls, Big Island

Kapoloa Falls is nestled deep in Pololu Valley on the North Kohala coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. With a cascade approaching 500 feet (152 m), Kapoloa is literally a wall of water resounding with the sheer power of nature. The waterfall initially plunges 300 feet (91 m), cascades across a trail and then drops another 200 feet (61 m).

In the past, guided hiking tours were offered to the waterfall since the land surrounding it is private property. Unfortunately this trail is now no longer accessible due to an earthquake that happened in 2006.
