This shrub grows bright yellow flowers with red stamens. It grows to a height of up to 6 feet (1.8 m) and produces flowers year-round. Its leaves grow in pairs and are about 2 inches (5 cm) long. The stem is brittle and light grey in color. The plant is native to Mexico and Central America.
