Ixora is a popular landscaping shrub in Hawaii's coastal regions. The reason is because ixora is easy to manage and grows just up to 4 feet (1.2 m) in height. It can also handle full sunlight if it is watered regularly. Ixora blooms continuously. Its bright red colors are a pretty sight. It also makes for a good cut flower and individual flowers can be strung into a lei.
